Course registration data in AIM

1. For courses in which the primary instructor is an allocated faculty member, "credited department" refers to the allocated faculty's home department. For courses taught by non-allocated faculty, "credited department" refers to the department offering the course. For example, a UNIV 101 course taught by an allocated faculty from the Biology Department is credited to the Biology Department.
2. Row-level security used in the dashboards means that users only see those courses credited to the department(s) to which they have access. This means that if a course is offered by a user's home department but credited to a different department, the user will be unable to see the course. For example, if a Math course is taught by an allocated faculty member from the Math Education Department, the course will not appear to users from the Math Department but will be visible to individuals from Math Education.
3. If a faculty teaches one course with multiple associated lab sections (e.g., 20 sections), the faculty will have taught the given course credit hours (e.g., 3.0 credit hours) not the duplicated amount (e.g., 60.0 credit hours).
4. For variable-credit courses, course credit hours represent the average credits registered by all enrollees.
