Course registration data in AIM

1. Headcounts displayed herein are averages across the selected years' fall and winter semesters and represent all matriculated, undergraduate students attempting BYU standard credits during the specified term. Sums of differing student groups may not equal the overall average headcount due to rounding error.
2. The credit completion threshold is a user-selected minimum standard against which students are measured and represents the share of attempted credits that are awarded to students. For example, a student earning 12 of 15 attempted credits during a semester has a credit completion rate of 80% and will be counted positively in analyses wherein the threshold is set to <= 80%.
3. Demographic definitions used herein are as follows:
   
   1. First-generation: a student who indicated on their most recent undergraduate application that neither parent had completed a four-year college degree.
   2. Race/ethnicity - two or more races: a student who does not identify as Hispanic/Latino and who selected two or more other race/ethnicity categories.
   3. Race/ethnicity - unknown: a student who did not select either a race or ethnicity designation
   4. International: a student who is not a citizen or national of the United States who is in this country on a visa or temporary basis, and who does not have the right to remain indefinitely.
   5. Pell-eligible: a student who was eligible to receive a federal Pell grant during their first year of enrollment.
